Lemon yellow, with green inflections, this wine starts with aromas of green and yellow apple, baked quince and roasted pear, which leads into toasted brioche and creme fraiche like aromas. The palate is bright and fresh with lemon zest and salt spray, layers of mineral and toast, with just hints of autolytic bitterness.
Christopher’s Notebook: From one of our favorite sites on the east side of Seneca, this fruit showed the importance of great farming here in our region. Despite the challenging conditions of the vintage, this fruit came in in near perfect condition, and a simple sorting was all that was needed to ensure perfect raw materials entering the press. Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, this wine shows notes of lees aging and malolactic without any presence of oak.
