57% Chardonnay & 43% Riesling
A unique blend of Riesling and Chardonnay, this wine is fresh and bright with lemon, green and yellow apples, mandarin, with beeswax, camomile and hay on the nose. The palate is at once both rich and focused, with laser like acidity running down the mid palate.
Christopher’s Notebook: While this may seem like an odd blend, it just comes down to context and what we are used to. In fact, I think blends like this are a really important part of the development of any new region. Hands down, I would argue that Riesling and Chardonnay are the two best white grapes of our region, so, as we look to make regionally appropriate blends, we can’t always look outwards at what others have done, but, rather inwards at what we can. 2022 was our first vintage of a white blend, but, look for the blend to expand greatly in coming vintages!
